Optometrists
Our Optometrists have over 100 years collective experience. All of our Optometrists are members of the Optometrists Association of Australia and are committed to ongoing professional education. We believe that continuity of seeing the same optometrist each time you visit Harris, Blake & Parsons plays a significant role in ensuring professional and personal eye care. Our Optometrists are members of the Optometrists Association of Australian, Contact lens Society of Australia and members and Governors of the National Vision Research Institute of Australia.
Terry BlakeBAppSc , LOSc , FVCO, Therapeutic Endorsement (ORBV) Terry graduated in 1969 and also continued a close association with the University as academic associate and clinical instructor in the area of contact lens correction. He served on the Optometrists Registration Board and was a Council member at the Victorian College of Optometry. Terry recently completed studies, examinations and a clinical placement to obtain endorsed registration to prescribe listed S4 medications for ocular use.
Brett Parsons BSc Optom, FVCO Brett graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1984 and specialises in contact lenses, laser refractive surgery care and ocular pathology. Brett became a partner in 1990. Brett is a fellow of the Victorian College of Optometry and a member of the Contact Lens Society of Australia.
Yun Fei (Linda) Feng B Optom, Therapeutic Endorsement (ORBV) We are delighted that Linda Feng joined our practice as an associate in December 2006. Linda is from the first graduating class of the five year optometry course at Melbourne University. She completed her final year with three first class honours. The five year course includes the therapeutic component that previously needed to be completed after graduation. Starting 2012, Linda will also be employed by the University of Melbourne as a clincial supervisor of final year optometry students.
Helen Riad B Optom, Therapeutic Endorsement (ORBV) Helen graduated from optometry at University of Melbourne in 2011 and has joined us as a new graduate optometrist in January 2012. Linda, Terry and Helen are all therapeutically qualified to treat and manage anterior eye disease. |
