Retinal Imaging

Harris Blake & Parsons are delighted to provide you with the latest technology from Zeiss enabling us to provide the optimum care for your eyes. Retinal imaging using the superb new Zeiss Visucam camera helps us to diagnose, monitor and record many eye and health disorders. High resolution digital images of the retina are recorded for future reference and assessment.

Monitoring of the diabetic effects on the eye using the camera is an excellent way to assess the effectivity of treatment and preventing development of proliferative retinopathy which can result in severe vision loss.

We recommend retinal imaging be done at your examination for early detection of eye disease or if you have a family history of these conditions -
  • Glaucoma
  • Diabetes
  • Macular Degeneration
  • High Blood pressures
  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Elevated Cholesterol
  • Nervous system disorders
  • Blood disorders
  • Retinal imaging provides a stored digital image of the state of your current eye health and can be easily compared against any changes that may occur in the future. Research is showing that it can be very useful as a predictor of future cardio-vascular problems.
