What is Rodenstock DNEye?

DNEye is an advanced eye measurement system that provides a highly detailed analysis of your eyes, far beyond what a standard eye test can measure. Using our Rodenstock DNEye® scanner, we capture detailed information about your eye length, corneal shape, and subtle optical imperfections, allowing us to understand exactly how your eyes process light. This level of precision enables us to create customised glasses lenses and improve contact lens fittings, resulting in clearer vision, better contrast, and improved performance, especially in low light or night-time conditions. DNEye is ideal for anyone wanting the most accurate vision possible, and is particularly beneficial for those who notice glare, halos, or reduced clarity with standard prescriptions. What Does Rodenstock DNEye® Involve?

DNEye involves a series of quick, non-invasive measurements using our advanced scanning technology, Rodenstock DNEye® scanner. The system analyses multiple aspects of your eye, including how light travels through it and how your eye focuses. These measurements are then used to create a highly personalised prescription, ensuring your glasses or contact lenses are precisely tailored to your unique vision needs.

Does a DNEye check hurt or feel uncomfortable?

A DNEye test is completely non-invasive and painless. The process is quick, comfortable, and suitable for patients of all ages.

Do I need to prepare for DNEye?

No preparation is needed for DNEye. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, it’s helpful to bring them along to your appointment so we can compare your current prescription.

What does DNEye cost?

DNEye is included as a complimentary additional service when you have an appointment with our optometrists.

What happens after the DNEye scan is complete?

After your DNEye scan, your optometrist will explain your results and how they impact your vision. If suitable, we’ll use your DNEye measurements to create customised lenses or optimise your contact lens fit. You’ll receive your results immediately, and your personalised prescription will be used to deliver clearer, sharper, and more comfortable glasses or contact lenses

Frequently Asked Questions

You do not need a referral from a doctor for Rodenstock DNEye®. Simply book online or call your preferred Harris Blake and Parsons practice to make an appointment.
You should allow 30-45 minutes for your appointment
Yes, you will be able to drive after your eye test. This test does not affect your ability to drive, so you can continue with your day as normal immediately after your appointment.
To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking an appointment in advance. Walk-ins may be available at our Ringwood and Croydon locations, depending on appointment availability on the day.

2. New Patient Form

If you have not visited us before, fill out our New Patient Form before your appointment. Alternatively complete this in-person prior to your appointment.

3. Attend Appointment

Attend your eye check appointment. 
Your appointment will begin with a brief consultation, followed by a series of thorough, painless eye tests tailored to you.

4. Results & Treatment

In most cases you will receive your results immediately.
In your appointment your optometrist will assess your results and provide the findings and recommended next actions if required.
